The Blame Game

2005.12.01

What is it with people who always blame the politicians when things aren't going the way they would like? The politicians aren't the ones to "blame" -- they are just doing exactly what the people who voted for them want them to do. Sheez, that's basic Democracy 101. If you don't like the way the government is working, you blame the people who voted for the politicians! Right now we've got one of the most incompetent administrations and Congress in the history of this country -- and there's no one other to blame than the 62 million people who actually went out in 2004 and voted for George Bush. The previous four years of his administration was one long train wreck -- from the 9/11 terrorist attack to a disastrous war in Iraq to a skyrocketing national debt and out-of-control budget deficits to the crisis in health care to a non-existent national energy policy -- the list goes on and on. And there's literally not a single item you can put in the plus column. And yet, 62 million Americans went out and voted to return this administration to the White House. Absolutely mind-boggling. We have no one to blame but ourselves.

Idiot nation, indeed.
